Jesus is the Way
I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and when I was a little girl and my family took road trips, I loved being the navigator. I would sit in the front seat, spread out the map on my lap, mark off each town we’d pass. I loved seeing where we’d been, where we were heading, and how far we’d come. It’s the journey that I love. And I’m sure that’s why I enjoy my Christian walk.
It’s an exciting journey, and the Bible is like a map. God has a path he has planned, and he goes before you and paves the way. He even says you ought to be on the narrow road rather than the broad one. When his disciples asked Jesus how they could get to where he was going, he replied, “I am the Way.” There you go, friend. You can’t get lost when Jesus is your “way.” So watch your map and learn to look at the road ahead as though it were the best journey ever. Keep your eye on the Way, and you’ll never lose your way.
