No Matter the Weather
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and when I wheeled outside this morning, the sky was this beautiful dark blue with towering white thunderheads drifting across the valley beyond my house. I could not help but burst into a hymn of praise. Ever had mornings like that? You feel great and you find yourself proclaiming, “O God, you are so wonderful!” But what if the weather were miserable, and you had problems and hassles to face? Would praise come as easily?
Oh, friend, you and I are so prone to let our circumstances dictate our view of God. But Deuteronomy 7 tells us, “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.” Friend, God is the same, no matter what the weather. He is always faithful! So today, whether the day is gloomy or grand, let’s always give praise to our wonderfully faithful God.
