It’s World Lupus Day
Today is World Lupus Day, a day in which people around the world join efforts to raise awareness about the seriousness of lupus — a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body, including the skin, joints, kidneys, and lungs. It’s a disease that mostly affects women and it can be very disabling. So, what can you do to make a difference? You can start by learning more about Lupus with this free downloadable resource. Then, you can share it with others, especially with the women in your life. And finally, you can pray for the 16,000 Americans who develop lupus every year. Pray for healing and new medical treatments, but also pray for a deeper healing; that is, pray that people with lupus would embrace Jesus, the “Man of Sorrows, acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3). Thanks for supporting World Lupus Day!
