An Unexpected Blessing
Want to hear the back story to my time (two nights ago) with Keith and Kristyn Getty at Carnegie Hall? It started earlier in the month when the Gettys asked me to perform
So yes, it was awesome to be at Carnegie Hall and, yes, I was THRILLED to sing, and to share my Gospel readings, but the WONDERFUL part? That week I stayed in bed and worked on those readings: I wrote on Zechariah’s song, Mary’s song, the angel’s song, and finally the last reading, on Simeon’s song. Meditating on my messages about those 4 ‘songs’ from Scripture was the most JOYOUS experience; what an unexpected blessing, communing with Jesus from my bed
Last night, Ken and I arrived home, with my spirit still resonating from singing and sharing the stage with Keith and Kristyn at Carnegie Hall. Psalm 119:46 says, “I will speak of your statutes before kings” – and oh, the PRIVILEGE to give a clear gospel message from the world’s most famous stage! It was a moment I’ll never forget (as well as those tender moments with the Lord last week).
