9/11 Memorial

Today commemorates 9/11, the National Day of Remembrance — the day when terrorism wreaked havoc on our nation. We lost our sisters, fathers and friends; we were stripped of our communal sense of safety. But though we were shaken, we were not defeated. And to this day, our nation is still engaged in a great struggle against terrorism, but God wants us to dismantle these strongholds of terrorism and persecution through prayer. So, how should we pray? Join me by listening to today’s radio program where I talk about the power of our prayers against the forces of darkness. Because it’s in these dark times, that we cannot allow ourselves to be demoralized by the tragedy of the past and the uncertainty of the future; rather, rather, we must “put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). May our memories of this tragic day be the impetus for us to kneel before the throne of God so that we may receive mercy and grace to help us in this time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
