Kurtis Smith

Area Director

Kurtis serves at Joni and Friends Minnesota bringing over 25 years of ministry and leadership experience in local and global faith-based initiatives. He grew up in Asia and Africa, ran an award-winning disaster response ministry in New Orleans, then served with his wife and four kids as a missionary in Peru, South America where one of his foster daughters received a wheelchair from Joni and Friends.

Donate a manual wheelchair

Wheelchair Collection in Minnesota

We collect wheelchairs year-round in partnership with a Delta Employees Group, community organizations, and Joni and Friends Volunteers. We collect manual wheelchairs, as well as aluminum walkers, crutches, and canes. Let’s help you find a place to donate!

Directions:

Going north on 34th Avenue towards Airport Terminal 2, turn left on 73rd Street.
Use Caution as you turn and cross the light rail.
After the intersection, Delta Building G is an immediate left and you will see Joni and Friends Wheelchair Drop-off Banners across from the Fort Snelling Cemetery.

Drop Off Instructions:

Wheelchair donations can be dropped off Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
When you enter the east side of the building, you will be in a small entry way. Turn to the right and press the black doorbell button located on the wall to the right of the door.
Someone will meet you at the door to receive your donation and provide you a receipt, if requested.
