Prepare for Heaven
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. You know, some people find it difficult to think realistically about heaven. It seems so far away, something between a Sunday School sketch and a nebulous, hazy dream. Even when folks try to imagine what heaven will be like, they come up short of a real desire to go there. But hey, I am excited! I get pumped thinking about having feet that will finally walk and one day hands that will actually work. Do you see? My paralysis is God’s way of preparing me for heaven. Unfortunately, for those people who have no troubles, no paralysis or affliction, heaven is not even on their radar. If life is little easy for you right now, how can heaven be real to you? Jesus says in Matthew 6: “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Hey, invest in eternal things; that’s how to get your heart thinking about heaven. Giving to the advancement of Christ’s Gospel always brings eternity into focus.
