Into the Light

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. First Peter 2 says we are to praise God who has brought us out of darkness and into the light. That reminds me of when our “Wheels for the World” team was in Peru; they took a wheelchair to the small home where Olga and her sons lived. Olga lifted a bedroom curtain to reveal a dark cubicle where 29-year-old Frank with cerebral palsy was lying on a bare mattress. Frank’s older brother lifted him into the wheelchair. 

In that dark room, Frank began screaming in terror until we backed him out of the dark and into the sunlight flooding through the only window. Suddenly Frank was different! That’s when our team member shared the Gospel with Olga, and she prayed to receive Christ. That day, God transferred Frank and Olga into the kingdom of light, something we get to see often at joniandfriends.org. So visit us today where you can learn to shine the light of Christ to people just like Frank.
