A Wheelchair in Poland

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and on a Wheels for the World outreach in Poland, we met 70-year-old Mrs. Wieladek. After receiving a wheelchair, she wrote me a letter in halting English; she said:

“Dear Joni, for ten years I have been suffering from sick legs. I received an invitation to Warsaw to have a wheelchair. Nice, young, and English-speaking girls served coffee and tasty cookies, and there was also common prayer. I got outstanding, extraordinary wheelchair with a label sticked on it. Please be so kind and find the person whom I received the helpful gift and say ‘thank you’ on my behalf. Now I can myself be in places I have not visited for many years. I will do my best to be useful for others so that a chain of good will not be stopped by me.”

Wow! To me, that letter is a treasure. Want to be part of the chain of good through Wheels for the World? Then visit joniandfriends.org to learn more.
