Leadership

Amy Schipper

Area Director

Amy “gets” disability ministry personally. Her sister has multiple sclerosis, and her husband is a disabled Navy Veteran. Certified in non-profit management, fundraising and development, and board governance, Amy brings over 20 years of local, national, and international experience to her leadership role with Joni and Friends. She is committed to carrying out her calling: to see people of all ages in Florida—especially those with disabilities—reached with the Gospel. Amy and her husband have one son, Joshua.

Bishop Graday Villas
Bishop Grady Villas supports persons with disabilities to use their God-given gifts to achieve greater independence, physical and emotional well-being, and spiritual growth.

We empower these individuals from throughout Central Florida to reach their full potential through Christ-centered, personalized and wholistic residential, vocational and employment services, and community support.

Center for Independent Living
Peer-to-peer support, information & referral, advocacy, independent life skills training, and transition.

Florida Disability Resource Hub
Our goal at the Florida Disability Resource Hub is to provide a comprehensive directory of regional Florida resources and opportunities for individuals of all ages with disabilities.

Lift Disability Network
Throughout the year, Lift provides camps, community events and family services that elevate life for families and individuals impacted by disability.

Lighthouse Central Florida
Lighthouse offers an optimal blend of proven rehabilitation training and real world application to help individuals of all ages, who live with any degree of vision loss, adjust to their reality with grace and confidence so that they can remain active, productive members of our community.

Nathaniel’s Hope
Nathaniel’s Hope is dedicated to celebrating kids with special needs (VIPs) as well as educating and equipping communities and churches to provide programs and assistance for VIP families.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Multiple Sclerosis support groups, advocacy and caregiving support.

Winds of Mercy
To provide support to families in need for children with mental and physical disabilities, which keep the children from being able to perform the essential activities of daily living.
Also to increase awareness of the needs of such families, and encourage financial and other forms of support for such families from public and private sources.

Young Life Capernaum
Capernaum is about creating ministry spaces where teens and young adults with disabilities can meet Jesus and grow in their faith. This often looks like a Capernaum Club specifically designed with our friends in mind, but it can also look like Young Life areas weaving intentional inclusion into their traditional Young Life, Wyldlife, and College Ministries.
