Kindness

“Go and do likewise.”
Luke 10:37
Kindness is love that steps into real life. It is compassion that refuses to remain theoretical. In the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus shows us that kindness is not simply noticing need. It is moving toward it with intention and care.
The Samaritan did not just feel concern for the wounded man. He crossed the road. He bent down. He bandaged wounds. He spent his time and his money. Kindness always becomes active. It always costs something.
The Spirit grows kindness in us by reshaping how we see people. Interruptions become opportunities. Inconvenience becomes invitation. Strangers become neighbors. Instead of asking, “Do I have time?” the Spirit trains our hearts to ask, “How can I serve?”
Kindness does not need to be dramatic to be powerful. A gentle word to a discouraged coworker, patience with a struggling child, or a listening ear for someone who feels forgotten all reflect the heart of Christ.
Jesus reminded His followers that even a cup of cold water given in His Name will not go unrewarded. No act of kindness done for His glory is ever wasted.
Kindness becomes powerful when love takes visible form.
