Be Confident

“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6
In today’s Scripture, Paul tells us, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Maybe you’ve felt paralyzed in your spiritual life. You truly long to grow closer to Jesus, but life feels more like a spinning carousel than a gallop toward a horizon. You may feel like you’ve been stuck for months—or years. Today is a perfect time to step off the carousel.
Begin by grabbing hold of Philippians 1:6 in faith. Start believing it. Ask the Holy Spirit to fulfill His promise. Quote the verse back to Him. Then roll up your sleeves and get actively engaged in your own growth. Obey God in the hard things. Persevere when you feel like giving up. Dig into the Word, even when it doesn’t appeal to you. Set aside time to seek Him in prayer. Now, you are really moving.
Dear Lord, how I need that confidence Paul writes about! I want to see that I’m really going somewhere in my walk with You—and not just in circles. I do believe You have begun something strong and good in my life. Carry it forward today. You, only You, are my strength and help.
