Peace

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you.”
John 14:27
Peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is the presence of settled trust. Jesus spoke these words on the night before His crucifixion. Nothing about that moment felt peaceful, and yet He offered His followers a peace that could not be shaken.
The peace of the Spirit does not promise that storms will stop. It promises that we will not face them alone. Peace grows as we learn to entrust what we cannot control into the hands of the One who controls all things.
So much of our unrest comes from trying to carry burdens we were never meant to hold. We worry about outcomes, relationships, finances, health, and the unknown. The Spirit gently teaches us to let go of fear and to anchor our hearts in God’s faithfulness.
Peace also reshapes how we treat others. A peaceful heart becomes a calming presence. It listens without panic. It responds without harshness. It brings stability into anxious spaces.
Peace is not found in perfect circumstances. It is found in trusting a perfect Savior.
God’s peace does not remove the storm; it anchors us within it.
