One Strong Dad

Satit lives in Thailand. (Download this activity page to learn more about the country of Thailand.) When he was three years old, he got very sick. He got well, but his legs never got strong enough to walk again. Because his legs were weak, many people said to him, “God can’t use you.” But they were wrong! Satit’s legs weren’t strong, but his faith was! He worked very hard to follow God with his whole heart and help others learn to follow God, too. When he grew up, he and his wife made their home a safe place for kids who didn’t have moms and dads to love them. He became a dad to 42 kids! Psalm 147:10-11 talks about God saying, “He doesn’t take delight in the strong legs of men. The Lord takes delight in those who have respect for him. They put their hope in his faithful love” (NIrV). That sounds just like Satit! What about you? Do you have areas where you’re weak but have a strong hope in God? You never know what God might have for you… maybe 42 kids!
