Wouldn’t you be surprised to find out that one of the families in your neighborhood had a kid your age but you never saw him? You would think you would see him leaving the house to go to school or maybe playing in the backyard. Right? But that isn’t always the way it is. In some countries, when a kid has a disability, he never goes outside. He can be living in the same neighborhood all growing up and his neighbors won’t know about him! This is just one of the reasons that Joni and Friends works so hard to bring wheelchairs to kids and adults in other countries. A wheelchair can make it possible for a kid to go outside!
