Anna’s Story

Anna“Give thanks no matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Christ Jesus.” -1 Thess. 5:18

In honor of this month’s Wheels for the World outreach to Poland, the Kids’ Corner wanted to share a great story with you from one of our Joni and Friends interns, Anna. Anna went on the outreach to Poland last year and shares a pretty amazing story about a special little boy named Charlie…

“Have you ever wanted something so much, like a new pair of shoes or a new bike? Think of the last birthday or Christmas gift you received. Now, imagine knowing you’d never be able to afford that gift. Do you think your life would be different if you never received that gift? Would it be harder to go about your day-to-day activities? During the Wheels for the World outreach to Poland, Charlie received a gift that greatly helped his everyday life. Charlie was a twelve-year-old boy with disabilities that limited his ability to walk. He lived at home with his mother and never attended school because he didn’t have a wheelchair. His mother and grandmother had to carry him everywhere. For Charlie, getting his first wheelchair was an indescribable gift, one that allowed him to go outside and attend school! Let’s thank God for the team who went to Poland this month, the gift of mobility, and the many people, like Charlie, who will hear about the love of Jesus. Pray also for Charlie and his family, that they would be encouraged each day.”
