doll in a wheelchairAre you serious about playing? Wait. What? That’s silly, you say. Playing is about having fun, not being serious. You’re right. Kids (and grown ups, too!) play to have fun. But playing can be about learning, too. And that can be serious! These two dolls belong to a girl named Sarah. She saved up her money and bought a wheelchair for them. Can you guess some of the things Sarah has learned as she plays with them now? For starters, she learned how brakes work on a wheelchair! She also is learning new ways her two dolls can be “friends” when one is sitting in a wheelchair. Do you like to play with dolls? Today pretend that one can’t walk or another one can’t see. What things do you learn?
