A Rose is a Rose

June is a great month for roses. Roses are even thought of as the flower of the month! Many people like roses best out of all other flowers. They like to look at them up close. Have you ever watched day after day as a rose opens from a closed bud to a great big circle of petals? It is quite the challenge to be able to paint a rose so that it looks real and delicate. That’s one reason why Joni decided to paint this picture. She wanted to test herself and see whether she could use her oil paints to make a beautiful rose. How do you think she did?
