Reading the Bible with Joni

mother and son reading through the BibleDid you decide to read the Bible with Joni this year? If so, maybe you peeked ahead at the schedule and saw that after a few days of reading in Genesis, the schedule says to start reading the book of Job. What’s going on? Was the schedule created by a popcorn popper? That would be pretty silly! This plan for reading the Bible in a year is made chronologically. This means that all of the reading is put in the order that the events happened. So why are we reading about Job in the middle of Genesis? Because a lot of the things that are talked about in Job’s life sound like they happened in the time in between what we read about in Genesis chapter 11 and Genesis chapter 12. Reading the Bible this way can help explain parts of the story that you might not notice at first. So another day in Genesis, and then be ready to skip lots of pages to the book of Job!
