Beka, Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph

A living nativity is kind of like a Christmas play, but instead of sitting still and watching the play on a stage, everyone walks from one place to another to see all of the parts of the story. For many years, Beka’s church has had a living nativity to help people imagine the story of Jesus’ birth. But parts of it were just too hard for Beka and her friends to go through. The soldiers were too loud and scary! But not this year! This year, Beka’s church had a special time for kids with disabilities to go through the living nativity. The soldiers made sure they didn’t get too scary. The shepherds, Mary and Joseph, and all of the other people were all extra careful to make sure no one got overwhelmed or scared! Everyone who came had fun imagining what it was like when Jesus was born. What a great way to help people understand God’s love for us even more!
