God is a Loving God

God loves you. You’ve heard that before. Lots and lots of times, right? But do you know what that means? To love someone means to want the very best for that person. Do you know what is the very, very, very best thing? Being friends with God forever and ever! Of course, we can’t be friends with God if we sin. And that is why John 3:16 is such an important verse, “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.” Eternal life is another way of saying that we’ll get to be with God forever. When you think about God doing the hardest thing (sending His Son to die) so that we could be friends with God, you can begin to understand how great God’s love is. And when you begin to understand how amazing God’s love is, you want to share it with others. This month we have some fun ideas for you to share God’s love with others.
