First Tries

Doing something for the first time can be hard. It is easy to want to give up! That is how Joni felt when she was first told to draw something with her mouth. She thought to herself, “I can’t draw! I can’t use my hands!” But since she didn’t have anything else to do, she finally gave it a try. And would you look at that! She drew a cowboy on a bucking bronco. And that was just the beginning! She’s drawn or painted more than 150 different finished art pieces with her mouth! Aren’t you glad she didn’t give up on her first try? Have you ever found something you drew as a little kid?
