Don’t be Nice
That doesn’t sound right, does it? Don’t be nice?!? Aren’t we supposed to be nice? Nope! The Bible never says we’re supposed to be nice. Instead, the Bible uses words like kind, good, gentle, giving, loving, and patient. That’s a whole lot better than just being nice, isn’t it? It’s like Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful and gentle and having control of oneself. There is no law against things of that kind” (NIrV). So as you start the new school year, don’t just be nice. Be all those other words instead!
