Bible Reading Update

It’s been one hot summer so far here at Joni and Friends! Is it hot where you live? Do you ever like to go to the pool to cool off? The next time you’re there, bring your Bible and continue reading along with Joni! This month, you’ll read through the book of Isaiah. The book of Isaiah was written by…you guessed it, Isaiah! Isaiah is the first of 17 books of prophecy in the Bible. Prophecy means to predict the future. The first half is a lot like the Old Testament because it explains how upset God gets when we disobey Him or worship other idols. The second half is full of hope and promise because it talks about Jesus coming and saving us all from our sins. Sounds like a good summer read to us!
