Bible Dress Up
Did you know the Bible talks about dressing up? Ephesians 6:11-18 tells us to “put on the full armor of God.” First you have the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, and the belt of truth. Our shoes are the readiness to take the gospel of peace. And then there is the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit. That is one head-to-toe costume! But there is something very different about this kind of dress-up. When we put on other costumes, we play pretend. But the Bible isn’t talking about pretending with the armor of God. Look at all of the action words. Stand. Fight. Watch. Pray. This is important stuff! So grab the armor of God and suit up! It is a costume you will want to wear every day of the year.
