April Fools’ Day

April Fools' Day!Today is a day when lots of people try to trick others. They play a joke or tell an untrue story and then say, “April fools!” If you like playing April Fools’ jokes, remember to make sure no one will get hurt (even their feelings!) If the person you played a joke on isn’t laughing, then it isn’t funny and you need to apologize. Did you know the Bible has lots to say about fools? We aren’t supposed to be foolish. Instead we are supposed to be wise. Have you asked God to help you be wise? That is a prayer He loves to answer! Just look at 1 Kings 3:7-15. It tells the story of King Solomon asking God for wisdom. If you would like, you can even ask the same way King Solomon asked. You can say, “I am only a little child… so give me a heart that understands” (1 Kings 3:7-9, NIrV). Now that is a great way to celebrate April Fools’ Day!
