Belonging
“As a volunteer, I have also served as a volunteer with Wheels for the World in different countries and with the wounded warriors Family Retreat, and I enjoyed every part of that!
It means the world to me that I can be the hands that assist the employees here.Susan Benavidez
The impact that serving here at Joni and Friends has made in my life has been through my family and friends. Them seeing me commit myself to [serving] once a week here, and also serving in the field, has given them an eye opener to what the International Disability Center does, and they are more sensitive to that now.”
Susan has been volunteering with Joni and Friends since 2012. She is currently serving with our Wheels for the World outreach program in Uganda, her 12th outreach!
“One thing I really love about Susan is her willingness to serve the Lord all over the world, she’s been to 7 different countries with us, so far.”
Rachelle Melia, Senior Coordinator, Wheels for the World
We are so incredibly thankful for our volunteers and their willingness to serve alongside us here at Joni and Friends. We could not accomplish our Luke 14 mandate without each and every one of you.
