Joni and Friends Named Best Christian Workplace 18th Year in a Row
AGOURA HILLS, CA – January 31, 2024:
The international disability ministry Joni and Friends has been named a Best Christian Workplace for 2023.
This marks the organization’s 18th year as a Best Christian Workplace.
Best Christian Workplaces said the healthy workplace culture at Joni and Friends demonstrates a testimony about Christian leaders, as well as “the very nature and character of God.”
The recognition is bestowed by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute, which helps Christian organizations and business increase their impact by cultivating a flourishing workplace culture.
Joni and Friends was certified for 2023 after an analysis of employee engagement survey results, which provided a wealth of honest, anonymous feedback. Employees rated Joni and Friends according to eight areas that drive workplace culture, including uplifting growth, healthy communication, and inspirational leadership. Those results were compared to 20 years of industry data.
Flourishing Christian workplaces serve to attract people to Christ. Joni and Friends marked its 45th year in ministry in 2024, and the international nonprofit continues to expand its reach. That expansion is driven by employees who work to fulfill the Luke 14 mandate: “Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame…Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.” (Luke 14:21, 23)
