Star Kid of the Month: Sarah

Sarah’s hair was long. Really long. But she knew lots of other girls couldn’t keep their hair long. Sarah was born with a disability and has to go to the hospital a lot. At the hospital she met a girl fighting cancer. Because of the medicine this girl takes for her cancer, she didn’t have any hair at all. That made Sarah sad. Pretty soon after that, Sarah was getting ready to turn eight and her parents wanted to know what she wanted for her birthday. Can you guess what she wanted? She wanted to help her new friend not be sad about having no hair! So for her birthday Sarah cut off her hair and gave it to a place that makes wigs for kids. She cut off fourteen and a half inches!
