This being Labor Day, I’m pretty proud of the people I work alongside at Joni and Friends – my coworkers are wonderful followers of Jesus, and a lot of them have some very unusual hobbies. Like Lori Kallestad Davis, Manager of Visual Media at Joni and Friends. She loves sailing and, for several years when she first started working at the ministry, she even lived on her boat docked in the Ventura Harbor. Just a couple of weeks ago, Lori skippered in the Tri Point sailboat race, a 34 mile contest out in the ocean near Anacapa Island. Not only did her boat win in its class, Lori was named the “Top Woman Skipper.” When she finished the race, Lori said, “God blessed us with a perfect day on the water. We broke the metal steering cable little by little during the race, but God brought us safely back to the dock on the last strand! God has been with me sailing through every storm, on the water and in my life!”

Congratulations, Lori, and may the wind always fill your sails!
