Sanctity of Life Sunday

Sanctity of Life SundayPsalm 127 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord”—and that includes ALL children … disabled, unborn, ill, boy or girl. In America alone, 4 in 10 children are aborted, many because they were diagnosed with disorders like Down syndrome. My heart breaks when I see the escalating statistics of not only abortion statistics of unborn children with disabilities, but also the desperate situation of infants with disabilities who quietly disappear under the shadow of infanticide. When you add the plight of medically fragile and elderly persons, you can see why our team at Joni and Friends and I are so passionate about promoting a pro-life perspective! It’s why today, on National Sanctity of Life Sunday, I’m asking you to join us in praying for these precious children. Our friends at The Colson Center have put together a free resource, “21 Days of Prayer for Life,” that will guide you on how to pray for this important issue. So download it here and then share it with your friends and family. Because together, we can defend life in the name of Jesus!
