The Red Carpet
The last few days have been a whirlwind of interviews highlighting the Oscar nomination (then the Academy’s decision to rescind it) for the “Alone Yet Not Alone” song. Last Friday evening, I ‘wheeled’ down the red carpet of the Movie Guide Awards with the composer and lyricist of the song. I even sang for a few reporters, “We can lean upon His arm and be lifted up from harm… if we stumble or if we are thrown, we’re alone… yet not alone.” People are really resonating with the message in this simple ballad; it’s the message of Hebrews 13:5-6 where, “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’” What comfort! So thank you for your prayers; I definitely leaned on your intercessions through every interview!
