Proverbs in a Month

Reading the BibleRemembering to read your Bible every day can sometimes be hard. Making time to read it can be even harder! Sometimes kids (and grown ups, too!) don’t know what part of the Bible to read and get overwhelmed trying to choose something each day. But don’t give up! Following along with a plan is a great way to read your Bible, and that’s why Joni and Ken like to invite everyone to read the Bible chronologically with them each year. If you are doing that, congratulations! You’ve made it almost half way through! But for others, it might be too overwhelming to keep up with a plan that leads you through the entire Bible in a year. That is one reason why it is good to remember the book of Proverbs. Proverbs has 31 chapters and lots of people read one chapter each day of the month. Since today is the third of the month, people who use this plan of Bible reading will read Chapter 3 of Proverbs today. If they forget a day, they can either choose to read what they missed to catch up or they can just read one chapter to match the day of the month. This can be a really good plan if you are still trying to build a routine of reading your Bible. Plus, there is always something good to learn! So if you want to build some good habits during your summer break, consider reading Proverbs one chapter at a time!
