The Precious Word of God

The other day as Ken was reading an Old Testament passage to me, I found myself struggling to stay focused. Later on that same day, a friend sent me this video showing the Kimyal people of Indonesia receiving the New Testament for the first time in their own language – needless to say, it helped me adjust my own appreciation of God’s Word. Years ago, Phil and Phyllis Masters began the translation project among the Kimyal tribe. Although Phil and a missionary-friend were murdered by a neighboring tribe, the translation project continued on. It was the ultimate sacrifice, but it meant the salvation of hundreds of Kimyal people. Take a few minutes and watch these believers as they heartily welcome the Word of God in their language!
