PET Scan Results

I’m thanking God for the gift of another day — Tuesday’s PET scan results just came back “NED;” in other words, “no evidence of disease.” Obviously friends were praying and I was DEEPLY touched by the comments you wrote on my blog and Facebook page. I don’t take these test results for granted – it reminds me to be a wise steward of each day God gives me, for we all have a purpose in our own generation (Acts 13:36 says that “David served the purpose of God in his generation and then he slept”). Well, it’s not my turn to “sleep” yet :-), so I am praying Psalm 90:16-17 in 2013: “May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us — yes, establish the work of our hands.” After all, there’s much to do in the kingdom of Christ, especially at Joni and Friends. And my prayer for you? May he establish the work of your hands, as well!
