You shouldn’t feel afraid to introduce yourself to someone just because they have a disability or use a wheelchair. Go ahead and ask him or her what their favorite food is, or what they like to do during the summer. That’s how we make friends! It’s even OK to ask them about their disability. But it’s very important to remember that the question and the way you ask are polite and respectful. And if you see someone with a disability who needs help, offer to help! Helping someone is one of the best ways to show Jesus’ love. It also makes you more like Him, which means you are well on your way to becoming an amazing friend!
