Wonderful Ministry at Willow Creek!

joni speaking at willow creekThree packed-out services in a worship center that holds 7,100 in one sitting? All I can say is, God showed up big time (yes, that tiny dot really is me on the platform)! Bill Hybels, pastor at Willow Creek Church, invited me to share during this, their Special Needs Weekend to help throw ‘fuel on the fire’ on their outreach to people with disabilities and their families. I am thrilled to tell you, they ended up with a lot of new sign-ups, volunteers, and a fresh vision to expand their respite program, “buddy” program, and so much more. I’m proud that our Joni and Friends Chicago team headed up by Sandy Hay will be resourcing the Willow Creek folks every step of the way! Truly, God is doing ‘more than we could possibly ask or imagine’ when it comes to igniting hearts across the U.S. for special needs ministry (Esphesians 3:20). And today? We’re heading for the airport and our Joni and Friends New England Family Retreat — I’m checking your comments on my blog, so thank you for praying as we go!
