I’m Looking Forward to Heaven!

Joni's painting, Earlier this week, my quadriplegic-friend, Bobby, passed away from complications related to his disability – I especially admired this young man because he, too, painted beautiful pictures holding brushes between his teeth. But instead of coddling sad thoughts, I remembered the Big Picture: Our days on earth are fleeting and few… Bobby is at home in heaven (and more alive than he ever was on earth)…. And we will one day sit with Jesus on his Throne! Then I started singing “This world is not my home, I’m just a-passing through.” It’s amazing how little it takes to lift my focus toward heaven :-). And, hopefully, for you, too, because “we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him (2 Peter 3:13-14). I’ve decided to reread a book I wrote long ago, Heaven Your Real Home – in fact, this is the drawing that’s on the cover; it’s my depiction of what my “mansion” may look like in heaven :-). Want to read the book with me? Then go to our store for all the details.
