Look Who We Bumped Into…

Ken, Joni, and Francis ChanRecently at LAX after we got off the airplane, we ran into our good friend, Francis Chan. After catching up, we circled our hands in prayer (which drew some curious Christian passers-by :-). I love Francis’ passion for rescuing people out of darkness and his books are always ‘must-reads’ for Ken and me. Here’s one of my favorite quotes from his book, Forgotten God: “It is easy to use the phrase ‘God’s will for my life’ as an excuse for inaction or even disobedience… My hope is that instead of searching for ‘God’s will for my life,’ each of us would seek hard for ‘the Spirit’s leading in my life today.’ May we learn to pray for an open and willing heart, to surrender to the Spirit’s leading in the life of that friend, child, spouse, circumstance, or decision that we are facing in our lives right now.” Great words to inspire us today – thanks, Francis!
