Little Things
I never know who will be tuning into my radio program – like the other day when I was telling listeners about a busy afternoon at work. I was jamming to get things done and hadn’t taken a break all day (I was in front of my computer for three hours straight). When I did take a minute to go to the restroom, I came back to my desk and there, in front of the computer, was a bite-size Snicker bar (one of my favorites). The yummy treat was sitting on top of a little note that read, “The Lord your God is your strength and shield.” Well, on my next radio program, I shared how that small, thoughtful gesture provided just the boost I needed. And you’ll never guess: someone at the Mars company was listening and took my message to heart. So the next day, I received a note of encouragement from the Snickers team along with three bags of bite-size bits of chocolate, caramel, and peanuts! Now that’s what I call putting what you hear into practice. Thanks Mars!
