Puzzles, Puzzles, Puzzles!

Have you seen colorful puzzle pieces on cars or on people’s T-shirts? Did you know that the puzzle piece is the most well known symbol in the autism community? There are many reasons why a puzzle piece can represent the world of autism. I have two favorite reasons why I like the colorful puzzle pieces. The first reason is because so many things have to come together for someone with autism, just like a puzzle! We need different therapies, sometimes special diets and we may even need help to communicate, like me! Every piece is different just like every person is different. The second reason is because so many things about autism are still puzzling. I am so thankful the Lord understands everything about autism and about things fitting together, like His children forming the Body of Christ. Every Christian has a place in the Lord’s Body, disabled or not!
