Mrs. BoggessGoofy Glasses

This month we are recognizing a very special teacher: Mrs. Boggess. You may have read about what her student did this year, but Mrs. Boggess has been a teacher for a long time! And each year Mrs. Boggess works hard to help the kids in her class learn how to be friends to people with disabilities. She teaches them how to help guide someone who can’t see. She shows them what it is like to use a wheelchair. And each kid in Mrs. Boggess’s class gets lots of encouragement to think creatively about what he or she can do to help others. As one parent said, “Led by their teacher, Mrs. Boggess, these little ones traveled a path of learning what it means to be a friend, to be a light, to sacrifice, and to make a difference.” Learn more about Mrs. Boggess and congratulate her by leaving a comment. And if you would like to nominate another teacher who is doing a great job teaching children how to make a difference for people with disabilities, let us know!
