Joni’s Dragon

Did you know Joni has a trained dragon? “But wait,” you say. “Dragons aren’t real. Joni isn’t some fairy tale princess with a pet dragon.” And you’re right. Joni’s dragon isn’t the kind of dragon with fiery breath and scales and great big wings. Joni’s dragon is a computer program that lets her use her computer just by speaking to it. It takes a little while to “train” the computer software to recognize Joni’s way of speaking, but after some training, she can do a lot! She might say “Go to end of line” or “New Paragraph” and the computer does what she says! If it misunderstands her or she changes her mind, she will say “Scratch that” and it will go back or delete. Don’t you agree this is a much better kind of dragon than the ones you hear about in fairy tales?
