Carrying a man in a wheelchair

Joe couldn’t believe it. It was a normal Sunday morning and the greeters at his church were supposed to be right at the top of the stairs to open the door for people. But not today. Today everyone was crowding around the bottom of the stairs. What were they doing? Now Joe could see. There was a man in a wheelchair and everyone was trying to figure out how to help him get upstairs. Two men reached down and grabbed the bottom of the wheelchair and up, up, up they came, carrying the man in the wheelchair. “I hope they don’t trip,” Joe thought. He hurried to get out of the way. All week long, Joe thought about the man in the wheelchair who had to be carried up the stairs. A ramp could fix the problem, but what could an 11 year-old kid like him do? He started by praying! Then he asked people in his church and around his town if they would want to give some money for building a ramp. Soon he had all the money his church needed to build a ramp! No more scary trips up the stairs for the man in a wheelchair! Thanks, Joe!
