Heart of God Tour

Some years ago, Ken and I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to the Holy Lands. Perhaps the most precious memory for me was visiting the Pool of Bethesda. That’s because back when I was 17 and still in the hospital, I would picture myself by this same pool, waiting to be healed (just like all those other people with disabilities in John 5). That visit to Jerusalem was such a perfect reminder that though Jesus said “no” to my desperate plea for healing, he said “yes” to a lively relationship with Him and a deep love for His Word. It’s why I was so excited to learn of the “Heart of God Tour” by Under the Fig Tree. It’s a special trip to the Holy Lands specifically tailored to meet the needs of our friends with intellectual disabilities to help them, too, develop a deeper relationship with Jesus.
