Heart for the Disabled

It’s February, and hearts are everywhere! Valentine’s Day is a good day to remind people that you think they are special. It is fun to do kind things for them and see how happy it makes them. That’s why Joni and Friends likes having Heart for the Disabled each year. Joni chooses five families who she knows could use a great big reminder that God thinks they are special. Then she asks all of her friends to make a Valentine or write a note of encouragement for each family. Once all of the notes have arrived at the Joni and Friends office, we put them all together and send them all at once to the families. Can you imagine their surprise?
