Friends of the Family Award

Recently Pepperdine University awarded Ken and me their “Friends of the Family Award” – we felt so honored at the gala event (the mayor even sent a proclamation :-). My husband and I enjoyed sharing how my disability has strengthened our relationship, not diminished it – all because of the amazing grace of Jesus. But not every family views disability that way. For many, it’s a painful intrusion into their otherwise ‘normal’ life. It’s why Joni and Friends’ Family Retreats are so needed. Please support a family with special needs; come and volunteer in 2015. As the folks at the Pepperdine will tell you, families need all the help they can get!
