First Day of Family Retreat…

It’s Tuesday at Mission Springs Family Retreat, and that means “crazy hair” day! It also means wonderful heaven-sent opportunities to encourage others in Christ, as well as BE encouraged – and that’s what happened when Ken and I left our cabin this morning and ran into Sara who has Down syndrome. Sara asked us to write down our “prayer requests” in her personal prayer book. She has been gathering prayer requests from special-needs families all over camp and…PRAYING! What a humbling example of Christ-centered servanthood Sara is to me…and to everyone who is encountering her today here at camp. Next? Ken and I are leading Tada Time with the moms and dads while their disabled kids and siblings go swimming. Pray for open hearts to the Gospel of Christ!
