February Star Kid: Micah

Micah likes being a big brother. He makes his sister Annabel laugh and smile. He helps her do big kid things, too. Good big brothers are like that, but Micah has an extra special job. Micah and Annabel’s dad serves in the United States Army. He is a chaplain, which means he helps people know that God loves them. But it also means that he is sometimes away from his family for months and months! That’s why Micah’s job as big brother is so important. Annabel has hypotonia (Say “hi-poe-TOE-nee-uh”). This means that her muscles aren’t as strong as other kids her age. It took her a long time to be strong enough to walk and talk. And since her dad couldn’t be nearby to help her, Micah had to be extra helpful! That’s why he is our February Star Kid. Great job, Micah!
