A Fabulous Friday…

I love a ‘booksigning line’ — you get to actually talk to people, hear their stories, pray with them and, of course, sign their books. It was heartwarming to hear these Christian school teachers share how my message yesterday inspired them on (and to learn that many use the Joni book as part of their classroom curriculum). And afterward? We grabbed a late lunch at Giordano’s Pizza — it was Ken’s very first taste of a 12-inch Chicago style pizza (yep, he ordered the whole thing for himself)! And now, we’re getting ready to head to Judson College for a Joni and Friends Chicago event — it’ll be a chance to thank many of the donors who support our outreach here in Chicago and beyond. Tomorrow? We start our drive to Grand Rapids and meetings with Zondervan publishing (and, yes, the trees will be looking pretty colorful)! My pain levels are manageable, the outreach fruitful, and we’ve rested well. All because of your prayers! Be sure to visit back over the weekend for more updates!
